Before you can advertise your property for sale, either privately or with a real estate agent, you will need to have a Contract for Sale prepared.
At First Choice Conveyancing we can assist you with preparing a Contract for Sale which meets all legislative requirements and which protects your interests until settlement and beyond.
When a buyer agrees to purchase your property the first step in the process is called Exchange of Contracts. At the time of exchange the Vendor or Seller is committed to the sale, however the buyer may have a cooling off right. At First Choice Conveyancing we can explain the implications to you of having a cooling off period, and discuss alternatives if you are wanting more immediate peace of mind to know that your property is sold.
Settlement is the time when you vacate your property and most normally settlement will occur 6-weeks after the Contracts were exchanged. The settlement timeframe is negotiable though and like all aspects of the Contract the settlement period can be tailored to suit your needs.
At First Choice Conveyancing we offer a fixed price service and payments are broken down into instalments, the first of which is the contract preparation fee. This is payable at the time a Contract for Sale is prepared. The remaining costs are normally paid on the day of settlement.
Don't hesitate to contact us today at First Choice Conveyancing to discuss your conveyancing needs.
